This bag is perfect! It's the smaller version, so it's not too heavy or bulky. I bought it for business travel and train travel in NYC. It has enough room for a laptop, notepad, Manila folder or two, and convenient pockets.I love the built-in cable for the power supply to the only exterior pocket on the side for a phone. The first day I used it my phone battery died right in the middle of scheduling an Uber from the airport. I just pulled the cable from the side pocket, connected power, and I was on my way again.I also like the convertible option to carry it as a backpack for walking and then slipping the straps into the exterior back panel so it looks more like a briefcase when I walk into the customer's office.When I first got it, the zipper was tough to zip around the top 2 corners. After a week, they worked fine - smooth zipping.While filled with a laptop and some papers, I can still fit a sealed coffee mug and a 24oz THERMOS. As a coffee lover, that's just as important as the laptop.The safety cable is very nice when you need to step away from your table or seat quickly while traveling. Another bonus is that the bag truly is waterproof. I've never thrown it into a lake, but rain has never gotten inside to my laptop or papers.Also for the petite business people, I am 5'2", and the straps adjust to my frame at their shortest setting. So the bag stays on my back and does not hit my derriere. I've never found a laptop backpack that fit like this before. Very comfortable for even the vertically challenged.I've been using this 5 days a week for 11 months. It shows no sign of wear. It looks brand new, no tears or scuffs, no rips in the interior lining or pockets, and zippers all work great. It has kept it's shape, no sagging or shifting.I love this bag. I do not understand any of the negative reviews. There was never a smell or quality problems. It holds just enough for the essentials. Someone complained it's not a good messenger bag. Well it's NOT a messenger bag. Sheesh. One man said it doesn't hold a lot. (Then buy the larger version. Ugh.) Most of the negative reviews seem to come from people not reading the product description before buying.I can't count how many times people have stopped me and asked where they could buy this bag. I keep forwarding this Amazon link. People who travel a lot and have pick-pocket concerns especially liked this bag.It's a little pricey, but worth every penny to me. If it ever does wear out, I'm buying another one.
