This backpack is nice in that the material is very thin and lightweight, it folds up into a small sack for portability. I used it as a travel/personal size item for a week long flight and road trip vacation. Flying United, their personal item limit is very small and this one fit the requirements technically, however I could have easily fit a similar style bag at least twice this size into the personal item tester without any issue. In the future I will use this as a spare bag crammed into my luggage or in the car to have for any last minute items I pickup when out exploring.As others have pointed out, the zipper setup on this particular model doesn't stay closed as well as most other backpacks and I was worried I would lose something. The direction that some of the pouches open don't lend to helping the zipper issue either.Bag has even more pockets than I expected.Only complaint, I ordered the maroon color and it looks more pink than maroon.I keep it in my truck with a ballistic insert inside. If needed I would use as an emergency go bag.This pack is fantastic! It is small but has a bunch of pockets so it makes organizing everything really easy to organize. Two smaller front pockets with a tiny slip pock shirt. Two water bottle holders. Big main compartment with zippered slim back. Best of all, it packs small and largely flat so it is easy to get in other luggage.BUT the color is off. I ordered the maroon and it is instead a purple/pink and bright. I would have ordered a less ostentatious color had it been identified accurately.This back pack is great! I posted a bunch of photos to show how much it can hold. I bought it to use at Disneyland and California Adventure, but will definitely use it other places too. I was able to fit everything I needed in this pack. In the bottom front pocket, I fit 2 juice boxes, two granola bars and a sandwich size bag of Cheez-its. In the top front pocket I fit smaller personal items, including my wallet, tissues, lip balm, reading glasses, and two more granola bars. On the top of the top front pocket is a diagonal zipper pocket which fit my phone. The main compartment fit my sweatshirt, wipes pack, small bag for personal items (which I put behind the divider), two apples, a bag of pretzels, and a bag of cookies. As you can see, from the side view, there was plenty more space in the bag. Although I didn't take my camera to the park with me that day, I put that in the pack as well, just to give reference of how roomy the bag is. The zipped up photos have the camera bag in the pack. The Dasani water bottles are the 16 ounce size. We've put larger water bottles in the side mesh pockets as well. I took photos of myself with the pack on. I'm 5'5" tall and weight 195 lbs. The pack fits me nicely and the straps did not dig into my arms at all. I did notice it a little bit when I didn't have my sweatshirt on, but i just loosened the straps a bit. It's a very comfortable back pack to wear all day. I took a photo of my husband with the pack on too. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 180. He didn't care for how the pack fit, but it was no problem for me. It rained while we were there, so the last photo is of the pack when it was wet. It was truly waterproof, as nothing in the pack got wet. The material is strong and takes a lot. It folds up very nicely into the front bottom pocket to make it compact in size. This back pack does not stand up on its own because of the material it's made of, but when it's packed up, it sits rather nicely. I'm looking forward to using this back pack for a while. We've used it for several trips to Disneyland and California Adventure, where I've packed it with 6 water bottles, snacks, a lunch bag, 2 sweatshirts, and personal items. It's held up very well. Get it! You'll like it.I just ordered my second Roam Lightweight Backpack because once your family and friends see yours they are going to want one also. I got it in black and I love it. It arrives and is this small pouch that you unzipper and the backpack unfolds. The pouch then becomes the front pocket. Pretty cool! There are plenty of pockets and it even comes with an attached carabiner which you can use to secure your keys if the zipper is left open. The size is perfect... not too big and not too small. It has large pockets on each side for your water bottles as well. The zippers appear strong and open and close easily without catching on the material. The material seems water resistant. I sprayed the front with the hose from my kitchen sink and the water slid right off however this backpack cannot be submerged in water. It has a chest strap that is adjustable. This is very important for women so the strap can be placed in a position that is comfortable either above or below your chest. I placed the chest strap below my bust (38D) because I didn't want to feel squeezed. This backpack is good for men, women and kids. It's very lightweight and not too masculine or feminine looking. I would say it has a sporty look and can be used for hiking or camping as well as school or a weekend bag. For the price you really can't go wrong. The only reason this may not be the backpack for you is if you are planning on getting it very wet. It can take some rain and splashing but that is all I would trust it with if you have anything of value inside. Buy it, it's a nice lightweight backpack.I bought this to use as a day pack on a trip to Las Vegas. It easily fit in my carry on and took up less room than a travel pillow. It will really easy to expand as well as condense when I was done.I bought it for a 4 day camping trip. I like the bright orange color and the material. I can also hold 2 water bottles. The more you use it the rougher the zipper gets. One of the zipper pieces broke off so I knew I had to be very careful. Hopefully I’ll get another one or two camping trips out of it.When I purchased this item I didn't realize how compact it could be.The bag comes folded up inside itself, effectively a bag inside a bag. This is brilliant it makes the bag super easy to store and take places and then when you need the bag it unfolds for tons of storage.It's amazingly light and has plenty of pockets and compartments for all your needs.This is an excellent product for walkers, hikers, people going on city breaks or even regular gym use.I'm very impressed with its functionality, design and quality.I saw this online and thought this was a great idea; a small bag which converts to a backpack by simply opening a zip and turning the bag inside-out.The bag/backpack is made of good quality ripstop nylon and has plenty of space for those unexpected trips. There are two zipped pockets on the front, plus the bag which the backpack is stored in converts into another zipped compartment. The shoulder straps each have a mesh storage pocket and there are further storage nets on each side of the pack for storing items like water bottles.Great value and a super idea for bringing home unexpected shopping!I bought this bag to carry my daughter and my swimming clothes for our weekly swimming lesson. I love it so much I’ve turned it into my daughter’s full time nappy/day bag.It is so comfy on (I barely notice it’s on my back) and is so light. All the different little compartments means I can store lots of different things separately , making it easy to organise things and to access them really easily. It fits so much stuff in it as well. It folds up really well if I don’t need it too.This backpack is fantastic! It folds down into it’s front pocket so you can store it away neatly. The quality of the backpack is really good. Stitching is really neat and strong and looks as though it is going to last a long time! It holds a lot of items and feels really light ok your back. I am really happy with this bag and I own a lot of bags! In fact I have a bag fetish!! I will certainly be using this bag the most though as it looks stylish and is perfect for what I need it for!
